Boyoz Recipe


1 kilo of flour
2 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 water glass measure of oil

Preparation Of

Sift the flour and add salt and sugar to the sifted flour and mix. Knead a hard dough with warm water. After kneading for 15-20 minutes, leave it in a clean bag for 15 minutes. Then roll the dough into a cylinder. From the cylinder, take 20 pieces of whatever size you can see (between walnut and apple, in the recipe I used it says as much as a coffee cup) and roll them into small balls. Let these little balls sit for 15 minutes.

Then, open the tiny balls as large as a dessert plate and grease them with oil, and leave them on a plate for another 15 minutes, with 5 of them on top of each other. Begin to roll out the dough. Open it as thin as we can. Oil the phyllo that you opened well and wrap it like a bundle, like an envelope. Let the dough rest for another 15 minutes while it is in roll form. Then break off pieces of 3-4 finger heights and press them in the middle with two fingers. Put the boyozes on the oiled tray into the oven and cook them until they are golden brown.
