Cherry Leaf Wrap Recipe


  • 1 cup of rice.
  • 3 onions
  • 2 tablespoons of currants
  • 1 tablespoon of peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 2 glasses of instant cherry juice
  • 1 cup pitted cherries
  • 300 grams of brine or fresh leaves
  • half glass of water
  • olive oil

Preparation Of

If the leaves for the wraps are in brine, put them in water the night before. If not, boil it in water. Chop the onions. Put the onions in the pan and fry them in olive oil. Add pine nuts if available. Wash and drain the rice. Roast the rice for a few minutes, then add the currants, spices, salt and cherries and continue frying. Separate a few cherries.
