Cubed Meat Pita Recipe

Materials

  • 6 cups of flour
  • 1 packet of fresh yeast
  • 1 cup of milk (warm)
  • 3 cups of water (warm)
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Internal Fee:

  • Half a kilo of minced meat
  • 2 green peppers (finely chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (grated)
  • 2 onions (Chopped into very small cubes)
  • 4 cloves of garlic (grated)
  • 5 tablespoons of Olive Oil
  • 250 g grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

For Dressing:

  • 2 tablespoons of yogurt
  • 5 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation Of

Add water, milk, granulated sugar and yeast into a large mixing bowl, mix and leave to ferment for 5 minutes. Then add oil and salt to it and mix it. Gradually add flour to the mixture and knead. Cover it with a cloth and leave it to ferment for 30 minutes and repeat this 3-4 times if you have time. Otherwise, it will be enough to ferment once. While the dough is fermenting, let’s prepare our stuffing. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, except the diced meat and cheddar. Add yoghurt, oil and salt to a small bowl and prepare the seasoning. Pour the seasoning you have prepared into the meat mixture, mix it well, wrap it in cling film and leave it in the refrigerator for 1 night. If you don’t have time, 4 hours of rest will be enough. If you keep the mortar overnight, use it without roasting. If you are going to use it without waiting, use it after sautéing the meat and vegetables without applying the seasoning process. For the final stage of making the pita: Divide the fermented dough into 10 equal parts and arrange on a clean and dry cloth. Take one of the meringue and open it lengthwise with the help of a rolling pin with flour on the counter. Apply the process to all the meringues in order. Add the seasoned mortar to the middle of the opened pita dough and spread the mortar, leaving a curling margin on the sides. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and place on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Bake in a preheated 250 degree oven until golden brown. After the pitas are cooked, take them out of the oven and brush with butter on the sides and serve hot.
