Gülaş Recipe

Materials

  • 1 kilo beef chunks
  • 3 large onions
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • 100 grams of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2-3 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 heaping tablespoon of flour
  • enough water

Preparation Of

Put the butter and olive oil in a saucepan. Seal the meat. Remove the sealed meat on paper towel. Roast the chopped onions in the same pot and sweat them. Add the coarsely chopped carrot and continue frying. Cut the garlic into several pieces and fry. Add the meat and continue frying. Add the garlic and fry until fragrant. Add the spices, salt, vinegar and bay leaf. Take a ladle of the food’s juice. Mix it with flour in another bowl. Slowly add it to the food, mixing it. After boiling, cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the meat is shredded. Enjoy your meal.
