Carrot Slice Baklava Recipe


  • 1 pack of phyllo dough
  • 200 grams butter (melted)
  • 1.5 cups pistachios

For Sherbet:

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 glasses of water
  • 3 drops of lemon juice

Preparation Of

First, we prepare the syrup. Mix the water and sugar until the sugar dissolves and let it boil. After boiling for 10 minutes, add the lemon juice and let it thicken on low heat. Remove the thickened syrup from the stove and let it cool at room temperature.
Pass the pistachios through the rondo so that there is no dust.
Cut the baklava phyllo according to the round tray you will cook and cover them with a damp cloth.
Grease the baking tray on which you will prepare the baklava and grease the 20 layers of phyllo with melted butter and place them inside the tray.
After 20 layers of dough, spread the peanuts all over, and grease each layer of the remaining 20 layers of dough and arrange on it. Do not oil the top sheet of dough.
Cut the baklava into carrot slices and bake it in a preheated 180 degree oven until golden brown.
Pour the cooled syrup over the baklava that comes out of the oven, draw the syrup and serve after it has cooled.
