Lamb Shank Keşkek Recipe


  • 2.5 cups (400 gr)
  • Lamb Cubed Medium Fat – 750 gr
  • Lamb Shank – 2 pcs
  • Butter – 4 tablespoons
  • Red Ground Pepper – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – according to you
  • Black pepper – a pinch
  • water – 1.5 liters

Preparation Of

Cook 750 g of lamb meat by boiling it in a separate pot and keep it waiting (just add salt and pepper to it)

Throw 2 cups of ashura wheat and 2 lamb shanks in 1.5 liters of water and cook for about 1 hour on low heat after it starts to boil.

Take out the cooked shank, remove the bone and add the meat back into the wheat and mash it well with the wheat with the help of a thick wooden spoon.

Add salt and black pepper, you can add butter if you want.

Put butter in a pan and add red pepper powder. After it gets hot, add the lamb meat that you have boiled before and heat it up in the butter sauce to flavor it.

Serve by adding buttered lamb meat to the prepared keskek. Enjoy your meal.
