Lentil Meatballs Recipe


  • 2 cups red lentils
  • 5-6 glasses of water
  • 1.5 cups bulgur for meatballs
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of hot chili pepper
  • Salt
  • 1/2 bunch of parsley finely chopped
  • 4-5 lettuce leaves for serving

For the sauce;

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon of oil
  • 2 tablespoons of chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste

Preparation Of

Put the lentils you have washed in plenty of water in the pot. Add water and cook. Until it absorbs the water and turns into a puree. Add bulgur and spices to the cooked lentils and mix. Cover the pot and let it rest until the bulgur swells. (40 minutes) Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Add the greens and onions to the pan and fry them. Until the color turns slightly. Add the sauces. Cook for another 3-4 minutes and remove from the heat. Take your meatballs on a large tray, pour the sauce over it and mix. Let it cool for 3-4 minutes. Meanwhile, arrange the lettuce leaves on the serving plate. Knead the meatballs well. Add the parsley. Knead again. Tighten by hand. Arrange on serving plate. You can squeeze lemon if you wish. You can serve it with lettuce. Enjoy your meal.
