- 2 cups red lentils
- 5 glasses of water
- 5-6 sprigs of fresh green onions
- Half a bunch of parsley
- 1.5 cups fine bulgur
- Black pepper

- juice of 1 lemon
- Half a teaspoon of olive oil
- 2 medium sized onions
- 1 tablespoon of chili paste
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 1 glass of water
Let’s take our lentils in a suitable pot, add water to it and leave it to boil, stirring occasionally.
While our lentils are boiling, let’s prepare our other ingredients. Finely chop the spring onions and parsley.
After the lentils have absorbed their water, let’s add fine bulgur on it and close the lid of the pot by mixing.
Then take the pot off the stove and let it rest for 30 minutes.
While our lentils are resting, let’s take olive oil in a suitable pan for the sauce.
Let’s add the chopped onion and fry it.
After our onions are roasted, let’s add our tomato paste on it and continue frying.
Add your water and let it boil.
Let’s take our rested lentils into a suitable mixing bowl and add the sauce we prepared on our lentils.
Let’s add salt, cumin, black pepper, cayenne pepper and lemon juice, mix all our ingredients.
Let’s continue mixing by adding the chopped parsley and onions.
Then, let’s take pieces of our mortar and shape it with our hands and serve it with curly lettuce. Enjoy your meal!
