Olive Oil Fresh Black-eyed Peas Recipe


  • 1 kilo of fresh kidney beans
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon of warm water
  • Salt
  • Greaseproof paper

Preparation Of

Cut off the ends of the kidney beans and wash them thoroughly. Filter your water. Chop it coarsely. Fry the chopped onion and garlic in olive oil. Add the garlic. Fry together for 2-3 minutes. Add the black-eyed peas and mix them upside down. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes. Spread the peeled and chopped tomatoes on it. Add salt, sugar and water. Wet the parchment paper and cover the pot. Squeeze the sides, close the lid and cook on low heat for 20 minutes. Take it off the stove and let it cool. Transfer it to a serving plate and drizzle olive oil on it. Enjoy your meal.
