Orange Quince Recipe with Olive Oil

Materials

  • 4 quinces
  • 1/2 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 orange juice
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 10 dried apricots
  • 1 handful of raw almonds
  • 1 glass of water
  • A pinch of finely chopped dill
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • juice of 1 lemon

Preparation Of

Peel the quinces and remove the hard parts and seeds inside. Chop into apple slices. Add water, lemon juice and flour to a bowl and mix. Leave it in the quinces for 20 minutes. So that the quinces do not turn black. Soak the almonds in 1 glass of hot water for 5 minutes for easy peeling. It will peel off easily. Put the olive oil in the pan, add the chopped onions and badenker and fry until the onions soften. Drain the juice of the quinces. Add and mix. Add bay leaf, sugar, salt, water, orange juice and cinnamon and cook on low heat until the quinces are soft. (15-20 minutes) Add the apricots and remove from the stove after 4-5 minutes. Add lemon juice to it and mix it upside down. Let it cool in the pot you cooked it in. Take your cooled food on a serving plate and sprinkle dill on it. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and serve. Enjoy your meal.
