- 4 glasses of flour
- 200 grams of butter at room temperature
- 1 tablespoon of milk
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 egg white
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon mahleb
- 1 tablespoon of ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon anise
- 100 grams of white cheese
For the above;
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
In a deep bowl, knead the dough so that it does not stick to the hand. You can make 4 types of dough. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts,
to the 1st part; Add mahlep and knead again.
to the 2nd part; Add ground pepper and thyme and knead.
to the 3rd part; Add cheese and black cumin and knead.
to the 4th piece; Add anise and knead.
Cover the dough with a kitchen cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes. Take a little bit larger than a hazelnut from your rested dough and roll them. Arrange on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. In a bowl, mix the egg yolk and olive oil and whisk with a fork. Brush over the rolled dough. Bake in preheated 190 degrees (20-25 minutes)
Enjoy your meal.
