Strained Lentil Soup Recipe


  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 potato
  • 2 cups red lentils
  • 2 meat bouillons
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • Salt

For service:

  • Butter
  • Red powdered pepper

Preparation Of

Onion is chopped and fried in a little oil. Add round chopped carrots to the roasted onions.
When the carrots are sautéed, diced potatoes are added.
When the potatoes are sautéed, the lentils are added and roasted. Add water until the pot is almost full. Bouillons are discarded. Vegetables and lentils are boiled until fully cooked.
The soup taken from the stove is passed through the blender until it is smooth.
It is then filtered using a strainer. The pulp will remain in the strainer.
After straining the whole soup, it is filtered one last time and the dark part is taken out.
After adding a teaspoon of powdered turmeric and salt to our soup, it is mixed with a whisk and the turmeric is ensured to disperse. Turmeric should definitely be in terms of color and taste. If your soup is dark, you can dilute it by adding a little hot water.
While serving, you can serve it by drizzling powdered pepper butter on it.
