White Cherry Jam Recipe


  • 1 kilo of white cherries
  • 1 kilo of sugar
  • 8 glasses of water
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon salt
  • 2 small pieces of mastic gum (pounded in a mortar)

Preparation Of

Tear off the stems of the cherries and remove the seeds. (With a toothpick or core remover) Wash and drain the water. Add the sugar and water to the pot and stir until the sugar dissolves. Let it boil until it becomes syrupy. Let’s add the cherries and mastic gum. Let’s keep boiling. When it thickens, add lemon salt and boil for 5 more minutes and remove from the stove. When it gets warm, put it in jars and keep it in a cool environment. Enjoy your meal.
